Keeping your shop up-to-date
Keeping your shop up-to-date is an important part of selling online. We kindly advise doing the following:
Sold a piece elsewhere?
As artists can have up to 200 or 600 artworks listed at one time, it can be hard to keep up with what to update and what has sold every time you sell! Nothing makes us happier than seeing your artwork find a new home. If a piece has sold through an alternative gallery, exhibition, social media, another platform, or a private sale, please take a moment to update your shop here on Artfinder!
A quick update helps keep your collection updated, prevents duplicate sales, and ensures customers only see artworks that are currently available.
This also mitigates the risk of:
- Customer disappointment caused by unavailable work and cancellations
- Ensuring trust and transparency within our marketplace community.
Keeping your store up to date!
We encourage artists to also keep their shop profiles current and reflective of their latest work.
Regular updates may include:
- Adding new available artworks.
- Removing or archiving artwork or marking pieces as 'sold' pieces
- Updating artwork descriptions, tags, and pricing where necessary.
- Refreshing artist biographies and profile information.
- Ensuring all images accurately represent the available work.
- Keeping active and up to date!
- Regularly review your shipping tables to ensure that your quoted shipping costs are as accurate as possible. It isn't possible to take any additional payments once an order's been placed, so please do bear this in mind.
An up-to-date shop improves collector confidence and helps maximise visibility and sales opportunities. We also encourage you to take advantage of our online articles, one being ‘Best practice tips to help artists’
