What are the fees on my orders?
It is 100% free to sign up and display your artworks on Artfinder. However we charge due commission on sales made through the Artfinder platform.
Commission
We deduct a 40% or 45% commission every time an artwork is purchased through the site. This covers the cost of running the site. In fact, we reinvest all of the commission we earn back into artist promotion––amongst others online and offline advertising.
Commission is only charged on the retail value of the artwork sold––that is the total retail value of the item as set by you. We do not charge commission on shipping.
VAT (UK only)
We are obliged to charge 20% VAT on our 40% or 45% commission, depending on the Seller Plan you are subscribed to. If you are VAT registered you will be able to reclaim this charge on your VAT return.
VAT is currently chargeable by Artfinder to you in the following circumstances:
- You are a UK resident
VAT is not currently chargeable by Artfinder to you in the following circumstances:
- You are a resident outside the UK
